Our 50,000 sq ft. manufacturing plant is located in Loudonville, Ohio and has been manufacturing new golf balls since the 1970’s. Some of the world’s top brands of balls were manufactured in our facility before the production for 95% of all golf balls in the world moved to the Far East.

Our History

For over 12 years now, GBR and its predecessors have been refinishing golf balls for the one of the world leaders in recycling and marketing golf balls Knetgolf and its wholesale arm GolfballsOnly.

In 2018 alone well over 5 million golf balls were refinished in our factory that have been sold to major retailers and consumers in over 40 countries. Refinishing range balls has become a growing offshoot of this business and we now service hundreds of ranges and golf courses with our products.

It's hard to beat a value proposition that holds up and behaves like a new product for about one half the price.

How does the process work?
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3... First you pack up the balls in boxes or bags, bags available upon request. We will arrange for a pick up at your location to be delivered to us in Central Ohio. Then we will work with you on a virtual proof of how you want your new range ball to look. Choosing options such as; your club/range logo, color of text, and desired number of stripes. Once the proof is approved the balls will then be stripped, refinished, and sent back to you. It's really that simple!

How much can I expect to save?
Typically you will be saving 30 -50% by refinishing your range balls versus the cost of brand new balls. Remember, we have a stock of refinished range balls that are also available for purchase. Save money by working with us every year!

How long does the refurbishing process take?
The whole process from start to finish, after we have received your range balls and all art work has been approved, will take between 2-3 weeks. It is very common for our customers to place their order with us during their off season. This will ensure you have your product long before the season gets underway. It is also not uncommon for a customer for place their order during their season. If you would like to do this we recommend refinishing 1/2 of the balls first, and upon delivery send the remaining stock off to us to be refinished.

How long will my refinished range balls last?
The balls are refinished to not only look brand new, but also perform and hold up the same as a brand new range ball. We use the same type of equipment to paint, print, and topcoat our range balls as any of the major brands producing golf balls today. We have done extensive R&D on the refinishing process and have quickly become an industry leader and innovator. Working with various highly credited golf industry suppliers and individuals we have been able to perfect not only the process but also the paint, ink, and topcoat. These paints/inks have been engineered to mirror the specifications that nearly every major golf manufacturer uses for their brand new high end (tour) golf balls.

Do all the balls come out looking new?
This all depends on the condition of the golf balls you are using at your facility. Pending on how long the balls have been in use the various conditions, surfaces, and hits will determine this. If the ball has been worn down to the dimples, cracked, or cut by the range equipment are not able to be refinished to perform as new. As the balls go through the process any ball that matches the above flaws will be pulled and returned to you as is.

How do I pack and ship my range balls to you?
Once an order is confirmed we will ship you the required number of bags needed to pack up your order for shipping. Once all the balls have been packed up we will schedule a pickup at the customer's place of business, free of charge.

Are other range balls available for ready purchase?
Yes we offer various refinished TopFlight, Pinnacle, and mixed range balls that are available for purchase at any time. We are able to print our refinished range balls exactly as your current ball.

What form of payments are accepted?
50% of the total payment is required upon art/order approval. The remaining balance is required prior to shipping. We accept all major credit cards, wire transfers, and checks.

When is the best time to refinish our range balls?
During your down season is the ideal time because your range balls are not in use. We are able to accommodate practically any request date you may have. If you are shutting down for the winter you can ship us the balls and we can ship them back finished just before you open.

Can you make balls yellow and re-do floaters?
We can definitely make the balls yellow or refinish yellow balls if you wish. In addition, we certainly are able to redo floaters. They go through the same refinished process as a normal range, come out looking great!

Can I test some refinished balls?
You sure can, we encourage our customers to test out our refinished range. Simply request a sample pack in our contact form and one will be shipped to you. Throw the sample balls in with your current stock and in 1-2 weeks pull them out and inspect. You will see that after countless hits and washes the ball looks as good as day 1.

I don't want to refinish my range balls, I just want to trade them in. Do you buy old range balls?
We sure do! Price will depend on quality, quantity, and brand. Feel free to fill out an inquiry form, located in our “contact us” section, and a representative will give you a call shortly.

Can I trade my old range balls for new refinished rang balls?
You sure can! We can give you a credit against the old range balls for new refinished range. Just let us know what u would like to do and we can accommodate as best as we can.

What Is A Refurbished Golf Ball

Refinished or Refurbished Golf Balls are simply a way to describe a unique reconditioning process GBR uses to bring certain used and recycled golf balls up to a level where they appear and as we have tested behave consistent with new golf balls.

The refinishing process which Knetgolf has perfected, uses state of the art equipment designed to safely chemically clean the golf balls to remove all the markings, discoloration, and staining. The balls we use are only cosmetically challenged as we do not have the ability to repair golf balls that have been damaged due to cart paths, trees or any other abrasion in the cover.

GolfBallsOnly is the wholesale division of Knetgolf.com. Since 1995, Knetgolf.com, with its worldwide holdings of different trademarks and marketing channels has been a worldwide Industry leader and innovator in the recycling, packaging and marketing of golf balls.

We now have a golf ball that is prepared the way new golf balls are readied before their paint and clear-coating go on. With state of the art machinery in a North American new golf ball manufacturing facility these balls are then painted, printed with their original name and clear-coated to their original luster and shine. The only difference is we print Refinished 2.0 on one pole of the ball to ensure the consumer knows that these are not new balls.

Refurbished Golf Ball Test

We bought 10 dozen new golf balls from a major retailer and took 10 dozen of each grade of golf balls that we recover and recycle right off of our shelves to an independent golf ball testing facility (Advanced Golf Solutions) that tests new balls for many of the top manufacturers.

All the grades of balls we sell were tested except for those that are structurally damaged or too old. These we do not sell. We do not have the capability to repair a damaged ball either through recycling or refinishing and these are discarded.

We hoped to once and for all put an end to this hearsay controversy of "water ball" or "used golf balls" and do some independent scientifically controlled testing, not subjective anecdotal testing that has been the mainstay of the common thought on this topic.

Outside of cosmetics (which really is what the grading is all about), the balls in all the various grades tested against new golf balls right out the package show only a very minimal loss, in fact a statistically insignificant loss of carry distance.

With a driver the maximum loss of carry over a drive of about 260 yards is about 5 yards with a grade B ball while the mint recycled and mint refinished balls show only a loss of 1 yard or less. Similar proportional results with both a wedge and 6 iron as indicated in the graphs below.

You can purchase our high quality refinished range balls with black stripes, red stripes or yellow range balls with black stripe.

As long as the order is over 300 dozen we can customize the ball to say anything you want! The ball can say Range, Practice or even your Golf Club name.

Since 99% of all golfers cannot swing with any consistency to attain these averages over many shots, this loss of carry distance form 1 -5 yards is absolutely minimal when you take into account all the other factors that come into play when you swing a clubÉ plane of club, follow through, back swing, in/out or out/in, weight shift, lie etc. The question then becomes is it worth it to pay 40% - 80% more for golf balls that you are going to lose anyway just to gain a yard or so under ideal swing conditions? These balls do not fall under the original manufacturers warranty or guarantees. However, we believe strongly in our products and stand behind them 100%. Did you know refinished golf balls have been formally accepted by the USGA. Rule 5-1/4 of the USGA rule book states that "it is permissible for such a ball to be used". So there you have it, Refinished golf balls are permissible in tournament play!
